Working With The Laws

Have you ever moved? If so, then you know how the entire process works. First it is getting the house ready- spend money.
Next comes the listing process- comps tell you your house is worth less than you thought.
Next are the open houses, realtors bringing people thru the house, having to keep the house looking like a model home, ugh. Lastly, an offer arrives and some how we manage to come to an agreement.
By this point we are exhausted and let’s face it stressed. One would think that all we had to do is pack and get out. But no, now comes the inspections, the list of repairs- more money.
Then it is the dreaded appraisal that has to keep the lender happy. In today’s marketplace that can be a major source of stress, and generally means losing more money. We haven’t (using the Laws), but most people do.
My question at this point is can I actually pack now??
Using the Law of Attraction
Well, if you have ever been thru a move, you know why moving is an incredibly stressful process. Since the first of the year my husband and I have been going thru these hoops. To our amazement, since we have both chosen to utilize the Law of Attraction and the other Laws, our stress level has been minimized.
What I Learned
In fact, this whole thing has really been an incredible exercise in personal growth. What I learned was how to take the emotional attachments out of the process. How to maintain my vision of moving with a sale and closing by June 1, in front of my face, to believe an appropriate offer would come quickly, and that there would be minimal stressors along the way.
It worked….we got an offer in 24 days in a market that even nicely appointed houses stay on the market for months. We have had some negotiations, but nothing to stress over. Our home closes May 28, 2009.
Stinking Thinking
More importantly, is what I learned about me. During these last few weeks, I became aware how much time I spent thinking of everything that could go wrong. I was amazed at myself and so grateful that I was aware of what I was doing.
Whenever I began feeling stressed, I would check my thinking and sure enough I was going down a path of negativity and definitely not what I wanted.
In the last couple of weeks I’ve spent a great deal of time readjusting my thinking before my body feels the stress. I’ve become aware how I’ve been programmed to think not of the possibilities first, but of the “what can go wrong first”.
I know that there are other lessons I’ve learned about myself that I cannot put my finger on, nor can I put in writing yet. Someday I will.
How Can You Benefit
The point here is when you are feeling stressed, check your thinking. Become aware of what is going on in your thinking process. You too may be spending way too much time thinking of what is not working instead of what you truly want.
Believe me when I say that negative thinking, no matter what your visual reality is, does not serve you. When you think of what you really want, creativity occurs and a way is made.

Glad you got what you want. You are proof that you have God’s favor. But then again, you deserve it!
You know Paulette, sometimes a person just has to ‘let go’. It seems to me that the more I stress about something, the more people SEE me stress and the LESS they want to have anything to do with me.
In stressful times, I’ve found that if I just LEAVE THINGS alone, they often sort themselves out. No, I don’t mean forget to pay my bills!!!
People are ATTRACTED to relaxed people and are repelled by stressed ones.
So I think we all need to just CHILL a little more an realize that we really don’t have much control over things.

You inspire me.
I know we all good through those tough times, times when it’s easy to let the negative pile up and overwhelm us, (especially something like a move!), but you keep it real and remind us that even that contains lessons.
And, what a testimonial for the Laws you have there. A sold house in a *down market*. Sweeeet.
