Law of Attraction/Terror Barrier

A Story
Sally answered the phone to hear a familiar friendly voice. Suddenly, terror struck.
Sheer terror! The worry, fear, anxiety were running thru her body. She got off the phone, her body shaking uncontrollably. Her first thought was to get a hold of herself. Company was coming within the hour. How was she going to get herself under control? She could deal with this after the company left.
Sally suddenly remembered the words of Bill Harris, founder of Centerpointe and Holosync,
“when experiencing these types of moments, stand back and become an observer. Remember, what you are going thru just is. Take yourself out of the story. Do not resist, simply let it be.”
Thinking this way allowed Sally to begin breathing somewhat regular again. Sally couldn’t remember how long ago she had experienced anything like this before. Then she remembered Bob Proctor and the “Terror Barrier”.
Bob teaches that our current values and beliefs are SO powerful that they will reject any idea that is not in harmony with them. When YOU are working with an idea and a vision that comes from the spirit, that idea sets up a totally different vibration. When this vibration clashes with WHO your subconscious mind thinks you are, terror sets in.
Sally began realizing that this simple call asking her to do a home meeting really wasn’t the REAL problem causing all of this terror. Rather it was deep seeded paradigms coming to the surface and she had a choice to make. Stay in her comfort zone and remain in bondage or step forward into growth and the light.
Bondage vs. Freedom
Personal growth, like meditation, is about dealing with those parts of YOU that are preventing you from reaching your greatest potential. It is a process, not a destination.
Sometimes dealing with those subconscious paradigms are simple minor steps taken over the threshold with a slight attack of fear or panic. However, sooner or later a big paradigm comes along the way. You can struggle with paradigms, straddle the fence with them or you can draw a line in the sand. I chose to draw the line.
End of the Story
Yes, Sally is me. The above story is very real. For me, personal growth is a choice.
What most of us don’t always hear about are all of the subconscious stuff the greats have had to deal with in order for them to be in the position they are in today. Even tho you have read “The Secret”, and other great inspirational, self-help books, too many times our encounter with these books is nothing more than general knowledge that can be rattled off giving us the feeling that we are living the information.
In “Think and Grow Rich”, Chapter 5, it talks about the difference between general and specialized knowledge.
Specialized knowledge, according to Napoleon Hill, is knowledge that is organized and directed into definite plans of action with a definite end. In other words, it is knowledge that is lived.
Practice For the Future
If something were to go awry in your life today or if you are one of the thousands who are watching their portfolios disappearing, do you truly know how to use that knowledge of the Law of Attraction? How much practice have you really had?
If you haven’t learned how to use the knowledge, when the tough times come, as Jim Rohn says in his story about the seasons, you will find it easier to quit on yourself and your dreams and go back to your comfort zone of bondage.
Draw The Line
It was simply a phone call asking for a home meeting. Nothing more, nothing
less. Yet terror occupied my life for almost a week. Because a part of my 2009 plan was to internalize the Law, I had information that I had been implementing and practicing to fall back on with understanding.
Every day since last Tuesday, I’ve been taking steps to deal with the paradigms that have prevented me from truly reaching my hearts desires. I’ll not kid you, it is work. BUT I have gained a whole new understanding of things and my capabilities. I have drawn a line in the sand.
My 2009 business goal hasn’t changed, but my awareness has. I am very grateful that I took the time to “study” the Laws, because now I draw strength and understanding from them. I don’t have the answer to the famous question “How is this going to happen?”.
I just know it will, because my job is to deal with those paradigms, hang onto my vision of who I truly am, take some form of action every day in the direction of my goals, and let God do the rest.
The price of walking thru the Terror Barrier is personal freedom. Join me this year in a very exciting journey of personal growth. Challenge yourself differently than what you’ve grown comfortable doing. Once you taste personal freedom there is nothing like it anywhere. It is so sweet!

Wow Paulette, I really felt your terror. And I can sense the changes in your thinking as well.
Thanks for sharing this little portion of your private hell, that others may be inspired to revisit those inspiration books and try to make them heart knowledge, not just head knowledge.
