Dig The Well Before You Need The Water
Katherine Nordal, the American Psychological Association executive director for professional practice, recently told CNN that the No. 1 concern for people is both money and the economy. She says that “the economy and finances are viewed as significantly more stressful by more than 8 our of 10 Americans.”
The above statement pretty much says it all. We are concerned about how our economy is going. What are our predominant thoughts in our daily lives?? Are we spending a lot of time simply thinking about what we don’t have or are we thinking about what we can do to improve our lives?
December is a great time to think about where we want our lives to go in 2009. I used it to set goals and recharge myself for a great year. Yes, the economy has affected me. Let’s face it all I have to do is go to the grocery store and WOW! The prices simply are. I can’t change them.
What I can do is apply the Laws of the Universe, such as the Law of Attraction and begin to focus on how I want my 2009 to be. What can you do differently to have a better year next year? Think outside the box for a little while. There are great fortunes that are made in all downturns. There is no reason you can’t have your share of those fortunes.
I think Tina Turner, Entertainer, said it best: “Sometimes you’ve got to let everything go – purge yourself. If you are unhappy with anything – whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity, your true self comes out.”
Free yourself so you CAN set goals. Goal setting will help you when you are stuck with a sudden case of fear. Goal setting puts the Law of Attraction to work for you. Goal setting helps you grow as a person. It is a life long, exciting personal jouney.
If you don’t like the way your life is headed, learn to set goals that make you think outside the box. Surround yourself that will help you stay focused and on track. Above all, watch what you focus on because “whatever you think about most, you shall create”. James Allen
Have fun, be real, and enjoy 2009! Remember, if you are concerned about your finances, then find a way to “Dig the Well Before You Need the Water.”

You hit it right on the head when you talk about our country’s primary concerns. And your suggestions are an excellent tool for making the decision not to participate in this recession. Great Job turning one’s attention toward their goals. So very important!
